Several herbal remedies have been studied as a treatment for anxiety, but more research is needed to understand the risks and benefits. Here’s what we know — and don’t know:
- Kava. Kava can help suppress anxiety but it has some serious negative side effects towards the liver.
- Passion flower. Passion flower helps prevent anxiety but some research have found out that it is at the risk of drowsiness, dizziness and confusion.
- Valerian.
- Chamomile.
- Lavender.
- Lemon balm.
